WHAT AN AMAZING BOX!!! Fairyloot has completely outdone themselves with this box which is so phenomenally good that it has fully redeemed my opinion of these boxes after a few that I wasn’t a gigantic fan of. The September theme was ‘All That Sass’ and had items inspired by everyones favourite sassy characters as well as an awesome book to match. An awesome bookmark that matches the art card was included in this box and, as they sometimes do, a sampler for The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue (Which I have read and you can find my review HERE) and a Tower of Dawn bookmark was also included.
Without further ado, here are the items:
First item that was pulled out was an exclusive High Warlock candle by In the Wick of Time and IT SMELLS PHENOMENAL! It smells like sandalwood, incense, and lavender which TBH I wasn’t sure would smell all that great but IT SO DOES.
Never have I ever gotten a BEANIE in a subscription box before. This awesome beanie is inspired by Throne of Glass (Aelin) and has “Rattle the Stars on the band… the bottom part of the beanie… the band bit… IDK what it’s called. It was designed by Reverie and Ink who I hadn’t heard of until this box and I will probably end up buying a mug off of her Society6 page.
Next is an absolutely STUNNING exclusive tote bag with a design by Miss Phi on the front. It is inspired by Will Herondale from Clockwork Angel and says: “There’s plenty of sense in nonsense sometimes, if you wish to look for it.”
Next item was a notepad designed by Alexis Lampley and inspired by Nikolai Lantsov. I’ll be honest and say that I haven’t actually finished reading the Grisha trilogy and have yet to meet Nikolai but I’m definitely looking forward to it now.
Oh Look! Another item that I have never seen in a bookish subscription box before. Inspired by Percy Jackson and supplied by Brontie and Co is what will hopefully be a yummy pack of vegan Hot Chocolate for Sassy Demi-Gods.
INK AND WONDER!!!! I absolutely love any and all designs that Paris makes and this exclusive ‘Solemnly Swear’ magnet is no exception. If you hadn’t already guessed it was inspired by the Weasley twins and says: “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
Along with the beautiful art card that Taratjah designed, she also made two other exclusive pieces for this box. The first is of Carswell Thorne from the Lunar Chronicles and the other is Delilah Bard from ADSOM Trilogy.
The book for September was Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett and SOUNDS JUST AMAZING! If it delivers what is promised, this book will hopefully be an awesome adventure full of romance and plot twists and dark witches and mini illuminating dragons.
Kamzin has always dreamed of becoming one of the Emperor’s royal explorers, the elite climbers tasked with mapping the wintry, mountainous Empire and spying on its enemies. She knows she could be the best in the world, if only someone would give her a chance.
But everything changes when the mysterious and eccentric River Shara, the greatest explorer ever known, arrives in her village and demands to hire Kamzin—not her older sister Lusha, as everyone had expected—for his next expedition. This is Kamzin’s chance to prove herself—even though River’s mission to retrieve a rare talisman for the emperor means climbing Raksha, the tallest and deadliest mountain in the Aryas. Then Lusha sets off on her own mission to Raksha with a rival explorer who is determined to best River, and Kamzin must decide what’s most important to her: protecting her sister from the countless perils of the climb or beating her to the summit.
The challenges of climbing Raksha are unlike anything Kamzin expected—or prepared for—with avalanches, ice chasms, ghosts, and even worse at every turn. And as dark secrets are revealed, Kamzin must unravel the truth of their mission and of her companions—while surviving the deadliest climb she has ever faced.
Along with this book came a letter form the author and a signed book plate which you will never see me complain about because as far as I am concerned I count my books with signed bookplates in them as signed editions (which I adore owning).
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE FAIRYLOOT BOXES EVER!!!! Every item was of awesome quality and were completely beautiful. Next month, October’s theme is “Villainous” and has items inspired by The Young Elites, Harry Potter, Sherlock and more. The book for October is, according to the Fairyloot website, an “Evil Queen retelling set in Eastern Asia” which makes me fairly confident in my guess that the book is Forest of a Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao. October’s box will also include a SECOND HARDCOVER BOOK with an EXCLUSIVE COVER and said book is Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo.
