September ’17 Wrap Up

Wrap Up

Two books. I have only read two NEW books this month. Two out of ten. Those two being A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland and Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas (Both Very good books I might add). Other than those two new ones, the rest of the books I read this month were rereads of books from the Throne of Glass series. First I read Heir of Fire and then Empire of Storms because I was super feeling those two, and THEN I started from the beginning, reading from Throne of Glass through to Tower of Dawn (Again).

Book Haul

I really should stop buying new books, my TBR pile is getting ridiculous. I added 21 (Oh Goodness that’s a LOT) books to it this month and some of them are pretty high on my pile (In my defence, the universe seems to like delivering my book parcels all at once so that my postie thinks I’m some type of shop-a-holic).

  1. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
  2. Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
  3. Dare by Natalia Jaster
  4. Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger
  5. The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, Elio M. García Jr., Linda Antonsson
  6. A Semi-definitive List of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland
  7. The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones
  8. Wicked Like a Wildfire by Lana Popović
  9. Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde
  10. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  11. Warcross by Marie Lu
  12. A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard
  13. Fireblood (I haven’t read Frostblood yet 🙈)
  14. The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
  15. A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi
  16. This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab
  17. Our Dark Duet by V.E. Schwab
  18. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
  19. The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee (again, I haven’t read the first book yet 🙊)
  20. Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows
  21. Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett

I also got my hands on The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken (The Darkest Minds, Never Fade, and In The Afterlight) which I had read a while back but never got a physical copy of and I finally got some copies of the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi.

Finally, FINALLY my signed copies of Vampire Academy by Michelle Mead (the 10th anniversary edition and the graphic novel) have arrived. I actually bought two signed copies of the 10th anniversary edition and plan on having a giveaway with one of them so keep and eye on my Instagram over the next few months for when it begins.

October TBR

And so it begins! Only 9 or 10 or 11 more days left of this university term (it depends on how long it takes me write my final essay) and then I will begin binge reading until I catch up with my goodreads challenge (apparently I’m 10 books behind).

  1. Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
  2. The Genesi Code by Tristen Willis
  3. Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
  4. Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
  5. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
  6. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
  7. Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh
  8. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

Potentially a bit ambitious but we’ll see how I go.

  1. Waaa you sure bought a lot of interesting new books! 😍 I hope you get to read them all. I have also bought a copy of Tower of Dawn, but I haven’t read it yet. Probably will do so in the upcoming week. I have read A Crown of Wishes, and it was really good and magical. Happy (belated) October! I hope you have a great reading month ahead! 🙂
